Please do not trim or shave the area for 3 weeks prior to your appointment.

Take 2 ibuprofen an hour before your appointment. The following may cause you to be more sensitive and should be avoided before your appointment if possible; caffeine, smoking, sugar, hormonal changes, stress (this is actually a big one). Keep in mind that discomfort during waxing feels significantly easier and your service will be quicker when you stay on a regular schedule of every 5 weeks. Please arrive with the your skin clean, and the areas that will be waxed, free of makeup. Freshening wipes will be provided for you in the room. Moisturizer is perfectly fine to apply prior to your appointment and is actually preferred.

  • No tanning or sunbathing

  • No sports, gyms or exercise. Avoid scratching or touching the waxed area.

  • If you experience moderate irritation, you may apply witch hazel, hydrocortisone cream or aloe vera with clean hands.

  • Icing the area may also help with inflammation.

To prevent ingrown hairs: Your aftercare is VERY important. A simple 2 step process is recommended for best results. Two days after your wax, start exfoliating in the shower using a texturized shower scrubber with your normal soap and water. When you're done exfoliating and dried off, apply a small amount of an ingrown prevention product, always on clean, dry skin. The manual exfoliation with the scrubber removes the dead skin on top and allows the product to penetrate deeper into your skin. We carry a few different products that work wonderfully to prevent and get rid of existing ingrown hairs, all are acid- free with natural ingredients that are safe to use anywhere on the body. During your appointment we will go into more detail about this and will recommend a product to fit your particular skin type. Click here to see aftercare products we recommend
